Joyetech has made the effort and gives us a kit with a design that combines practicality and elegance brilliantly. The vape pen and PCC are one and the same, with semi-gloss colours that give a premium look and a faux-leather case that adds a little texture while holding the two elements of the kit securely in place. If you want to tune up your eRoll Slim kit a bit by mixing colours, you should know that the case is replaceable (spare cases sold separately).

The vape pen has dimensions of 120 × 14 mm, while the PCC measures 107 × 44 × 23 mm. The whole package forms an e-cigarette that's compact enough to go everywhere with you, and the drip tip 510 still sticks out so there's not even any need to separate the pen from the PCC to take a quick drag.

Manoeuvring the eRoll Slim kit couldn't be easier. Even novices will get the hang of it as the eRoll Slim requires no adjustment, you fill your cartridge, inhale and that's it. Activation is button-free thanks to an autodraw system that engages the puff automatically as you inhale.

eRoll Slim full kit: autonomy multiplied.

In the vape pen eRoll Slim, you get an internal battery with autonomy of 480 mAh which is already enough to vape from morning to night with an average use. Add to that the 1500 mAh of the PCC and the maths is quickly done, you'll have enough power to vape for two or three days. This makes the eRoll Slim an ideal companion for accompanying you during festivals and weekend getaways.

Keep an eye on your battery level, the vape pen announces the colour with an LED surrounding the base of the pod:

• Green: 100% to 70%.
• Blue: 70% to 30%.
• Red: less than 30%.

For the PCC, a simple touch on its soft touch button allows you to check the battery level thanks to an indicator displaying five white LEDs. The number of LEDs lit decreases as your powerbank drains.

Recharging the vape pen on the PCC is done via a magnetic system, with a slight vibration of the pen indicating that it is properly connected to the PCC. Whether it's the PCC or the pen, both elements have a USB-C port and can be charged independently. The vape pen charges with a max charging current of 1A while the PCC charges in 2A (USB-C cable supplied in the kit).

eRoll Slim full kit: satisfying feel and intense flavours.

To ensure a tasty vape and a satisfactory MTL draw, the eRoll Slim pod comes with a 2 ml eRoll Slim cartridge, fitted with an integrated 1 ohm mesh coil. Here you don't bother, when the coil is out of order, you replace the whole cartridge. As with the magnetic connection with the PCC, the eRoll Slim vape pen will vibrate to confirm the connection with the cartridge.

• eRoll Slim Mesh 1.0 ohm cartridge: MTL draw - automatic adjustment - PG/VG ratio from 70PG/30VG to 50PG/50VG - recommended nicotine levels up to 20 mg/ml.

The eRoll Slim cartridges can accommodate drip tips 510 so if you have some at home, you'll be able to use them on this pod. In fact, the eRoll Slim kit contains two 510 drip tips to refine the rendition of your vape according to your preferences. You have a narrow model for a tight draw and a standard model that's a little wider to send out a little more vapour.

Filling the eRoll Slim cartridge:

• Remove the cartridge from the battery.
• Open the silicone tab on the side of the cartridge.
• Fill with e-liquid.
• Close the tab.
• Put back the cartridge on the battery.

Replacing the eRoll Slim cartridge:

• Remove the used cartridge.
• Install a new cartridge.
• Caution: If the coil is new, prime it well by letting it soak in e-liquid for 10 minutes before vaping.
