Pod Argus P2: an updated design
If you've already had the Argus P1 pod in hand, you won't be confused. The Argus P2 takes the square shape of its predecessor without forgetting to add a few new features. The most important point in terms of visual evolution and ease of use is the incorporation of a 0.54-inch OLED display. This display allows you to easily keep an eye on your battery level, current mode or power, resistance value as well as a puff counter.
Another improvement is that there's a settings button (note, not a fire button) above the screen that lets you control all aspects of your Argus P2 pod. You can make all your settings with this button, right down to choosing the colour of the LEDs that light up with each inhalation. White light, rainbow or simply off, it's up to you.
As usual with Voopoo, the Argus P2 pod is made from quality materials. A highly appreciable zinc alloy and a transparent polycarbonate that offers an unobstructed view of the Argus P2's electronic components. You're looking at a compact and very light e-cig here, and a lanyard supplied in this kit even lets you wear it around your neck.

Power that puts the pedal to the metal
Compared to its predecessor the Argus P1, the Argus P2 pod puts the pedal to the metal. Going from 20W on the previous model to 30W now, that's quite a leap forward. With this not inconsiderable maximum power, this podmod delivers a good cruising speed for MTL (tight draw) vape enthusiasts but will be just as capable of climbing the revs to satisfy RDL (restrictive overhead draw) vape enthusiasts.
A customisable experience
With its various modes, the Argus P2 pod offers you a fully customisable experience. First, you have a Power mode of the most classic kind, which lets you adjust your power from 5 to 30W. This mode gives you plenty of freedom of action while protecting you against dry-hits. That's right, this pod is pretty clever and automatically bridles the setting according to the resistance installed.
Another operating mode is the Shift Mode. This takes matters into its own hands and adjusts to the resistance used but still offers you three pre-set power levels depending on the rendition you're looking for.
- SPT : a boosted mode for punchy flavours.
- NOR : a dosed mode for standard vaping in optimal conditions.
- ECO : a slightly less powerful mode to increase battery life and reduce e-liquid consumption.
Once you've finished your little fiddles, it's finally time for the long-awaited puff. A puff that's done in autodraw (automatic activation on inhalation), simple and effective. If you find you're still not on the perfect puff, know that you have a little adjustable airflow located on the side of the pod to remedy that.
A battery that holds up
Up to 30W of max power, LED lights, that's all well and good, but we need a good battery that holds up behind it. Fortunately Voopoo has installed an internal 1100 mAh battery in this pod. Enough autonomy to allow the average MTL vaper who's not too tense to vape for up to three days on a single charge. What's more, the Argus P2 pod's battery recharges very quickly thanks to its USB-C port supporting a max charging current of 5V/2A.
An Argus cartridge revisited
This Argus P2 kit is unstoppable when it comes to innovation, as it also houses Argus Top Fill cartridges. These revamped Argus cartridges house Voopoo's iCOSM Code. This technology provides an improved structure to prevent leaks and deliver better airflow. The coils have also been reworked to deliver a tasty vape for even longer. Then the icing on the cake, the integration of silver ions and their antibacterial properties into the plastic of the cartridge to guarantee you a clean and healthy vape.
In this kit, you'll have the chance to test two versions of the Argus Top Fill cartridge. One with 0.4 ohm designed for overhead vaping and another with 0.7 ohm for a tighter draw. These cartridges can hold 2 ml of e-liquid, a 3 ml version is also available (sold separately).
- Argus Top Fill 0.4 ohm cartridge : RDL draw - PG/VG ratios from 50/50 to 30/70 - Recommended nicotine levels up to 6 mg/ml.
- Argus Top Fill 0.7 ohm cartridge : MTL draw not too tight - PG/VG ratios from 60/40 to 50/50 - Recommended nicotine levels up to 12 mg/ml.
Be aware that standard Argus cartridges are also compatible with the Argus P2 pod. Not forgetting the reusable Argus cartridges which work with Voopoo's ITO coils. All this opens up even more possibilities with coils up to 1.2 ohm for true MTL fans.
Filling the Argus Top Fill cartridge
- With the Argus Top Fill cartridge, there's no need to remove the cartridge from the battery.
- Open the silicone tab on the side of the cartridge.
- Fill with e-liquid then close.
Replacing the Argus Top Fill cartridge
- Remove the used cartridge (magnetic system).
- Install a new cartridge.
- Caution: if the coil is new, prime it by letting it soak in e-liquid for 10 minutes before vaping.
Who is the Argus P2 pod aimed at?
The design and features of the Argus P2 pod make it attractive to a fairly wide audience. Its small size will appeal to experts who want to leave their big gear at home for the duration of an outing. While its safety features, which prevent beginners from making mistakes (setting too high for the resistance used, for example), will enable novices to discover electronic cigarettes without taking risks.
